   no you need more than just a new set of tires .. but it does help
   hpi sells the most well known drifting kit _ D BOX- its a component that when you turn one way it automatically re- balances the other side ( counter steering ) and sends it into a drifting state which the car drifts .. its pretty expense but for the cost its great .. all the pros use it

   what kind of batteries you use.. the higher the amp the longer and more responsive the controls will be – like a LI Po battery (best one on the market is great.. but it needs a special charger and speed control to handel the power but normal batteries only last like 15 minuits
