nope. anything fired out of a 6mm gun like an airsoft gun needs to be made, at the least, out of high density plastic. foam would shred in the gun and destroy it. besides the bullets would be useless. they wouldn't move and it would be entirely too light to be accurate.
airsoft doesn't realy hurt that bad and even nerf balls can blind you if it hits you in the eye.
i suggest going to do airsoft (paintball hurts far more if that's whta your worried about) but keep eyeprotection. References :
